Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs can be traced back to ancient Rome, when wealthy Romans would serve them as an appetizer during feasts. The first recipe for deviled eggs in the United States was printed in a southern newspaper in 1877. When made for church picnics they’re sometimes called ‘dressed eggs’ to keep the devil out of them.

Coastal Carolina Swordfish
The rich waters off the coast of South Carolina are swordfish breeding grounds. These large predators forge in cold, deep-sea waters. It is possible to land a swordfish any time of year here, although late summer and early fall tends to be the best season to make a catch.
